Battle Mecha

Rising Sun battle mecha epitomize the unorthodox directions the Imperial War Laboratories under Emperor Hirusake took. Battle mecha are built to fight in hilly and mountainous terrain of the Imperium, not being slowed by hills and barely slowed by mountains. They are inferior in battle to the Federation's MBTs, however.
